Testimonials Here's what current and past riders at Jodon's have to say:
Lyndie Hess The three years I spent at Jodon's improved both my
riding and my horsemanship. Their selection of fine school horses
provided me with the riding challenges I needed to fine tune all of my
equitation skills. I progressed from jumping crossrails to comfortably
jumping 3'6" - 3'9" courses as well as challenging cross country
obstacles. I also learned the basics of dressage, including leg yields,
turning on the haunches and forehand, the half pass, and how to achieve
balance, collection, and flexibility.
Melinda Nagy I was about to give up on riding altogether when I found my way to Jodon's farm. The rigid, all-business style of previous instructors had made me forget what I enjoyed about riding. I was ready to throw in the towel on a lifestyle I'd grown up with. When I took my first lesson at Jodon's in the summer of 2003, however, I did a total turnaround. I found myself being told I can do this, and I can excel. Taking lessons was fun again, and I felt inspired to try my best. I had only one regret--that I found out about this place so late in my Penn State education! Positive motivation goes a long way, though...I've since graduated and moved back to New Jersey, but I still spend a fair amount of my time back at the farm. There are no other trainers that I've encountered, in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, that can compare to Earl. With his encouragement and instruction, I've gone on to begin competing over 3' fences, and I feel the most confident I have ever felt in my life, both in and out of the saddle. My faith in the equine way of life is revived. Earl helped me locate and evaluate young horses that fit with my goals and level of training, and I've purchased two horses--a lifelong dream fulfilled! Come join a supportive, educational, and fun riding environment!
